Fire Department & Emergency Services
Blue Ridge Mountain
Volunteer Fire Company provides fire and emergency medical
services to the people living in the Harpers Ferry and Charleston areas. We have between 35
and 40 lifetime members, both active and retired, and auxiliary
members as well. We are a volunteer-operated corporation that is
entirely community supported. About Us South Jefferson Ruitan founded the Blue
Ridge Mountain Volunteer Fire Company in 1974. Our
long-time, active members and volunteers have more than 20 years'
experience in fire and rescue services. Our current President of
Operations is Earl Cogle. Scott Neil is the chief of Fire
Suppression Operations; he takes care of all the paperwork for the
fire services. |
Our
Services We handle fires, automobile accidents, and emergency services, and
we hold training in all these subjects for new volunteers. Our
basic rapid intervention training teaches you how to handle all
kinds of emergency situations, such as people trapped inside
buildings, collapsed roofs, and more. |
 |
Fund-raisers Our services wouldn't be possible without your help. We hold
raffles, barbecues, boot drives, and other kinds of fund-raisers to
help us stay in business. We have a chicken BBQ coming up on
Memorial Day weekend and the Spring Bash Million Dollar Raffle.
Give us a call to buy tickets or find out more! Blue Ridge Mountain
Volunteer Fire Company is ready to handle your emergency.
Our trained, caring volunteers have the experience and expertise to
be leaders in the community. Contact us to find out about our
auxiliary or training services today! |
